Espresso Dark Chocolate – A Collaboration Rooted in Craft
This bar brings together two worlds we deeply believe in: real chocolate and speciality coffee. Made bean-to-bar in Donegal, our 60% Espresso Dark Chocolate starts its journey far from here, on small cacao farms in Nicaragua, where beans are grown with care, harvested by hand, and selected for their depth and character.
The coffee comes from New Kid Coffee Roasters, a local speciality roastery here in Donegal — a collaboration born from shared values, mutual support, and a love for honest craft. 
We slowly grind finely ground, freshly roasted coffee into our chocolate during the making process, allowing the flavours to fully develop. The result is a bar with deep cocoa richness, layered with notes of espresso, toasted nuts, and gentle fruity bitterness, finishing smooth and lingering. 
From cacao farms in Central America to coffee roasters in Donegal, this bar is a celebration of two crafts, two origins, and one shared respect for the land, the beans, and the people who grow them.
It’s chocolate made slowly, thoughtfully, and with purpose — a true meeting of farm, craft, and community in one bar.
The idea for this bar was sparked by a simple conversation with an absolute legend whose deep knowledge of coffee and genuine support for small local food producers left a lasting impression. That moment grew into a tribute to the power of independent makers backing each other and building something meaningful together.
